‘Art & Soul‘ is an international art and sculpture fair presented by Gormleys Fine Art at the Culloden Estate and Spa in Belfast. There are multiple exhibitions and artworks on display by Irish and international artists within the 5 star hotel as well as throughout the grounds of the 12 acre estate. The highlight of the fair is the showcase of over 150 sculptures in what is Ireland’s largest sculpture exhibition.
The event was conceived over 15 years ago and has since grown into Ireland’s biggest sculpture fair. This year the fair features over 100 artworks and 150 sculptures. 60 large sculptures and installations are displayed throughout the grounds of the estate and a further 100 smaller sculptures are showcased within the hotel itself.
In the hotel itself there are many other artworks on display as well as 7 exhibitions. Stephen Forbes has a series of works on display within the hotel’s restaurant. On the same floor, works by Keith Haring can be seen in the bar and accompanying seating area. On a subsequent floor of the hotel the remaining exhibitions can be viewed, such as Julian Opie. First up is a room dedicated to a series of work by Patrick Hughes. In the following room is an exhibition of work by Patrick O’Reilly, in addition to his work seen in the gardens. A nearby corridor showcases a series of work by Peter Monaghan which leads you to a room dedicated to the work of Andy Warhol.
‘Art & Soul’ is running from 26 June – 18 July 2021 at Culloden Estate and Spa, Belfast, presented by Gormleys Fine Art. For more information on the exhibition please visit Gormleys’ website and Instagram.
