Scoop Art Auction

I am very excited to announce that I will be curating the 2021 edition of the SCOOP Foundation’s Contemporary Art Auction.

The SCOOP Art Auctions have become the backbone of the SCOOP Foundation’s annual fundraising endeavours over the past 10 years which allow them to grow and support a wide range of projects, from building schools to providing remote education programmes for young displaced kids in the Middle East.

Last year in May, as a response to the pandemic, the SCOOP Foundation ran the 2020 edition of the Art Auction completely online, auctioning off 170 incredible artworks and raising an incredible €88,600 over 2 days. For 2021 we want to move it up a gear and run the largest charity Art Auction Ireland has ever seen.

The aim this year is to run a 3 day event fully live and online through and to auction off 300+ artworks from Ireland’s most loved and most sought after artists. The auction will take place on April 23rd, 24th & 25th and will be streamed live from The Copper House Gallery in Dublin.

Funds raised during the auction this year will be split 50/50 between an Artist Fund, which will help support artists during these difficult times, and for SCOOP to help them develop their Remote Learning Programmes for young persons living in Direct Provision centres in Ireland, and for displaced teenagers living in Displacement Camps in Iraqi Kurdistan. They are also developing a website to help displaced young persons learn about their Human Rights.
