Waterford Walls

Waterford Walls is an International Street Art Festival that has been running in Waterford since 2015. In what is Ireland’s biggest street art festival, ‘The Walls Project’ have invited Irish and International street artists and muralists to paint in Waterford.

There are new and exciting additions to the programme this year, including a mentorship programme, where local artists are mentored by experienced muralists, and a digital app ‘Bepart’, where a selection of murals are animated using augmented reality.


Fabio Petani, Waterford Walls, 2021.

Fabio Petani is an Italian street artist. His style often explores chemical and molecular subject-matter through the use of lines, shapes and blending colours. His mural was completed in June and was the first painted this year ahead of the festival in August. It is located at Trade Coffee 112 The Quay Waterford City. name SILICON DIOXIDE & BOUGANVILLEA


Curtis Hylton, Waterford Walls, 2021.

Curtis Hylton is a muralist from the United Kingdom. His style of painting includes highly detailed and delicate depictions of animals and flowers. His mural was painted in July and was the second painted this year ahead of the festival in August. It is located at City Square Waterford.


Beerens, Waterford Walls, 2021.

Beerens is a street artist based in Paris. His signature style brings an underwater environment to the urban landscape by combining elements of graffiti with imagery of marine life. The artist is also a professional diver and uses his art to raise awareness for issues concerning the conservation of marine life. His piece for 2021 is located at 8 Greyfriar’s Street Waterford.
